Developed by US-based Desktop Metal, the X25Pro™ is a scalable 3D printer based on binder jetting technology. This compact machine, which will be launched in 2020, is part of the manufacturer’s X-Series, which also includes the InnoventX™ and the X160Pro™.
Features of the X25Pro™
This 3D printer has a maximum build volume of 250 x 400 x 250 mm and a layer thickness between 30 and 200 µm. It is an open platform that can print all materials, from ultra-fine metal injection molding (MIM) powders to coarse sands, ceramics and other specialty materials. Like the other machines in this series, it is equipped with industrial piezoelectric print heads and the manufacturer’s patented Triple ACT Binder Jetting technology. This technology enables the use of high and low throughput materials, as well as small and large particles.
Other features include external dimensions of 2298 x 1318 x 1870 mm and a weight of 2000 kg. According to the manufacturer, the X25Pro™ is an ideal 3D printer for a variety of applications, from prototyping to mass production, thanks to its ability to easily produce complex parts.
