Founded in 2013, Asian company XYZprinting has been a leader in desktop and professional 3D printing solutions for years. In fact, in 2019, the manufacturer took a big leap into industrial additive manufacturing with the introduction of new professional technologies, including its first foray into SLS technology. To penetrate this niche, XYZprinting launched two industrial machines, first the MfgPro230 xS and later the MfgPro236 xS. The latter was released in 2021.
Features of the MfgPro236 xS
Selective laser sintering (SLS) is one of the preferred technologies for producing 3D printed parts with strong and durable mechanical properties. Based on this technology, the MfgPro236 xS makes these production capabilities available to all industrial users. This 3D printer has a maximum production volume of 230 x 230 x 250 mm. In terms of materials, this version supports a wider range of materials than the MfgPro230 xS, although all are developed by the brand. These are: sPro12W / sPro11CF / sProTPU / sPro11B / sPro11W / sPro6FR / sPro6LM / sPro6MF / sProPP / sPro6NE.
The MfgPro236 xS not only features a more powerful 60 W CO2 laser, but also an improved print speed of 22 mm/h and a layer height of 0.06 mm / 0.08 mm / 0.1 mm / 0.15 mm / 0.2 mm. In terms of software requirements, the 3D printer is compatible with XYZprint AM / Buildware software, is compatible with Windows 10 operating system or higher, and supports stl and 3mf file formats.
In terms of what you could make with the technologies, the manufacturer website lists several examples of successful prints using the MfgPro236 xS and nylon powder. These are all for consumer goods – a water inflow pipe for an aquarium, a handle for a leaf blower, and a component for an offroad motorcycle.
