Presented during Euromold 2013, the ProJet 1200 is a reasonably priced new professional 3D printer offered by 3D Systems that uses stereolithography (SLA) technology. The printer allows the attainment of a layer thickness of only 30 microns. It is ideal for printing small, detailed objects or molds for items such as jewelry, electronic components or dental wax-ups. Available for sale at a price of 4900 dollars, the ProJet 1200 is a compact machine that is principally aimed at dental laboratories and jewelers.
