XYZprinting offers two 3D scanners in its range, the 1.0 A and the 2.0 – they are portable high-resolution 3D scanners that work with laptop or desktop computers to scan people or objects and produce 3D files. This technology used is called Intel RealSense Camera, similar to structured light.
The 3D scanner 1.0 A from the Taiwanese manufacturer can work in four modes for different area sizes. It can scan areas of 60 x 60 x 30 cm, 80 x 50 x 80 cm, 100 x 100 x 200 cm and the size of a human head. It works by connecting to your computer with a USB cord for greater mobility and is small and light enough to move around easily. For the following step, the manufacturer also provides XYZScan Handy, a scanning and post-editing software to edit your models after scanning. It enables to export in multiple export formats, such as .stl .obj .ply and .fbx.

As mentioned this scanner can work with different scan sizes, the largest being 100 x 100 x 200. The scan resolution is between 1.0 and 2.5 mm and it can achieve colour image size of up to 1920 x 1080p at 30fps. When you are scanning, one thing to keep is mind is that the operating range is 50 cm.
